DAVID ALMADA

David Almada has a passion to make a difference for individuals living with mental health challenges. As a volunteer with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) since 2014, he has dedicated his time with the Technology Consumer and Family Empowerment (Tech CAFE), increasing the awareness of behavioral resources made available online for individuals living with mental illness. He continues to advocate and promote education for digital literacy among the English and Spanish speaking population. David is a role model for the community, proving that recovery is indeed possible, and that one can break the stigma surrounding mental illness. David's determination is a lasting contribution to the San Diego behavioral health community and the lives of those he serves.
